ConnectEd: The California Center for College and CareerFounded by The James Irvine Foundation, ConnectEd serves as a hub for innovative practice, policy, and research to create multiple education pathways leading to both college and careers for California students. ConnectEd works with legislators and policy makers, schools, districts, and other partners to promote high school reforms incorporating comprehensive programs of study that will prepare all students to enter postsecondary education and the workforce – and to succeed in tomorrow’s economy. The Institute for the Study of Family, Work, and CommunityThe Institute is a non-profit affiliate of MPR Associates. It conducts research and policy analyses on a wide range of issues affecting families, the workplace, and community life. Included among its recent work are projects evaluating after-school reading initiatives, workforce preparation in community colleges, and multimedia curriculum development. |
